Study IT in Estonia!

Estonia is a small country in Northern Europe, well known as one of the leading countries to implement a fully digital society. It tops the global list of internet freedom. Estonia has online banking since the 1990s, whereas today 99,6% of banking transactions are done electronically. e-Residency, i-Voting, digital medical prescriptions, signing of legally-binding contracts, participation in government interactions, declating taxes in e-Tax Board - all using the Internet. Reported by Wall Street Journal in 2012, Estonia has the most per-capita startups in Europe. Estonia is the birthplace of Skype, and homeland of TransferWise.

Not just for locals

The Estonian government, tech schools and companies work hard on breaking the barriers and wanting to build a smarter world with students, graduates, and young entrepeneurs from everywhere. It’s no longer a closed club. Thousands of students from nearly 70 countries can attest to that. Tallinn University of Technology has partnered with some 50 international universities, Stanford, Berkeley, MIT, and Harvard among them. It even has offices in Silicon Valley and Shanghai. The University of Tartu is member of international associations of Universities such as the Utrecht Network and the Coimbra Group of Universities. It also maintains exchange programmes with some of the most highly ranked universities in Asia and Australia including The University of Melbourne and Tsinghua University. Institute of Computer Science in the University of Tartu also has productive partnerships with Scandinavian universities like the Aalto University, University of Helsinki, and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and universities in Germany.
