Application and fees

In order to apply for the Winter School, please fill in the electronic application form and upload the following two documents.  

  • Motivation letter. In your motivation letter, please briefly write about your background, whether your interest is specifically in a particular area or problem of transportation, or whether your are interested in technical or strategic aspects of cyber security. The letter should be maximum 1 page.
  • Recommendation letter from your supervisor, mentor or superior. The letter should be maximum 1 page.

Application deadline for non-EU applicants 1 September 2020 
Application deadline for EU applicants and locals 31 October 2020
Booking your accommodation in the Academic Hostel using the promo code 16 November 2020 
Payment deadline 30 November 2020

Participation fees

PhD students, researchers, academics EUR 200 (excl. VAT)

All others EUR 500 (excl. VAT)

The fee includes: the full programme (lectures, working with mentors) and materials of the Winter School, catering during the Winter School three times a day and coffee breaks, transport cards in Tallinn and transport to special events, and social event.

IMPORTANT! Travel to/from Tallinn, accommodation and visa are to be covered by the participants. This has not been included to the participation fee and the organisers cannot offer any scholarships or participation fee waivers.


Once you have been accepted to the Winter School, we will issue an invoice based on the information you have provided on the online registration form. All the necessary details and deadlines for the payment will be included in the invoice. The payment deadline is 30 November 2020. In case the payment has not been made by this date, the organisers will assume the participant will be joining the event and have a right to remove the name from the list of participants.
