About us

Thanks for being curious about the shoes behind the curtain. They belong to StudyITin.ee programme a governmental initiative and trademark to promote Estonian ICT higher education.

StudyITin.ee is cooperation between the universities, information and communications technology companies, and the state. StudyITin.ee is funded by the Estonian state (Ministry of Education and Research), managed by the Information Technology Foundation for Education (HITSA), and supported by Skype, for securing necessary labour force for the ICT sector and for creating preconditions for Estonia’s growth through ICT. The collaboration programme contributes to educating tomorrow’s university graduates so they are highly qualified and valued specialists on the Estonian ICT labour market.

The goal is to educate top specialists with excellent ICT skills, so that ICT companies can develop new and innovative solutions, and manage them as well. This in its turn will boost the growth of entrepreneurship and the provision of ICT services, which lays a strong foundation for the economic growth of Estonia.

The activities are rooted in the belief that a rising tide lifts all boats. That means better universities, helpful scholarships, international students, more graduates, fearless entrepreneurs, ambitious startups, and happier folks all around.

As you may have guessed, StudyITin.ee is not a “local shop for local people”. It’s a call to action for anyone who has the mojo, the ambition, and the geek in them. From anywhere.

There are no golden statuettes here. And no need to thank the Academy. Instead, the Academy would like to thank you. For considering to plant your dreams in Estonia, the accelerator country for techies.

See you soon!

As of 1 August 2020, all of the rights and obligations related to the activities of HITSA transfer to the Education and Youth Authority .
